Skills Active Forward (SAF) is a voluntary organization based in West London. It was set-up in 2006. SAF’s aim is to provide tailor made services for young people, who are excluded from mainstream activities because of their ethnicity and refugee status. In particular, these youth face a number of barriers, such as language difficulties, high unemployment levels and lack of social opportunities. Moreover there are high exclusion rates among these young people due to behavioural problems caused by family breakdown, standard of living and stress.
